Migraines, Detours, + Hotel Pools: June 29th-30th

 I ended up getting a pretty awful migraine after Arches so we had to change plans (again haha) and find a spot to stop 3-4 hours sooner than we were planning. I was really grateful for Matt's encouragement to make this choice. I hate spending money so the thought of paying for a hotel was killing me, but my head was killing me worse. It ended up being the best idea! We got dinner from Mom's Cafe and then Matt took the kids to the pool so I could shower and sleep. They had a blast and I was able to recover!  Thrift store in Utah! Remember only you can prevent forest fires  Our home for the week! Everyone all tucked it!  Eden and Matt slept out in hammocks the whole week!  I got a little solo time but fell asleep reading because it was such a long day! I haven't finished yet, but really enjoying it so far!  Not sure if you can make out my mug but it says, "Long is the journey, good is the King."  How true that is!  Sweet Elli let Asher sleep on the...

Arches National Park: June 29th

 We got up super early to see a sunrise at Arches! It was definitely worth it!  Bright-eyed and bushy headed :)  The "Spectacles"  We couldn't figure out how to climb up but we had fun trying! Can you spot the boys?! Asher was all about his "man bun" this day The Delicate Arch It was such a hot day we opted for the 1 mile hike vs the 3 mile hike to see this particular arch. But it was still too much. We ended up having dehydrated kids and one of them had a panic attack. It was a good, but hard learning experience. Matt and I would both have liked to do more but we needed to take into consideration what our kids were up for. Matt and I both had to humble ourselves and repent to our kids for pushing them a bit too far. It ended up being a very impactful and memorable moment for our family.
