 Grand Canyon: South Rim Sunset Tour When I started looking for tour options I came across this ministry aptly named, " Canyon Ministries ." I was pumped because I really wanted to know the biblical perspective on how the canyon was formed. The tour was that and so much more! It was biblical AND scientific.  If you know me you know I have strong convictions, but I am also a middle child and like to keep the peace. So the last thing I want to do is argue with someone why I believe what I believe and why they should believe it too. NOW, I will share what I believe and invite questions and conversations, and I want to hear your thoughts too. That is EXACTLY what David did on our tour. He was not pushing anything, he was simply explaining scientifically and biblically how the canyon was formed. He said more than once some along the lines of "here are the facts and evidence, you can make your decision."  Full transparency, I need Matt and the big kids to give me a recap ...

Grand Canyon: South Rim Morning July 1st

Grand Canyon: South Rim Morning Matt's morning routine, make coffee for the fam and spend time under the trees with Jesus  It was about a 4 hour drive from where we were camping near the North Rim to the South Rim. I didn't quite realize the distance when I booked the sunset tour so we decided to leave bright and early on Tuesday and take time to explore before our tour started.  First look... as they say, pictures don't do it justice.  If we get to go back I'd love to just sit in stillness at the edge for a good hour or two. Obviously that wasn't possible with kiddos, but beholding such grandeur even for the moments we were able to stand in awe was such a gift.  Desert View Tower This is a trail that will take you down into the canyon. We decided to hike for 30ish minutes down and then back up just to experience it.
