Arches National Park: June 29th

We got up super early to see a sunrise at Arches! It was definitely worth it!

Bright-eyed and bushy headed :)

The "Spectacles"

We couldn't figure out how to climb up but we had fun trying!

Can you spot the boys?!

Asher was all about his "man bun" this day

The Delicate Arch

It was such a hot day we opted for the 1 mile hike vs the 3 mile hike to see this particular arch. But it was still too much. We ended up having dehydrated kids and one of them had a panic attack. It was a good, but hard learning experience. Matt and I would both have liked to do more but we needed to take into consideration what our kids were up for. Matt and I both had to humble ourselves and repent to our kids for pushing them a bit too far. It ended up being a very impactful and memorable moment for our family. Not because we saw a cool arch but because we practiced repentance, forgiveness, and restoration. We praise God for our kids who are eager to explore and adventure, and even more for the ways the modeled Jesus to us in their generous, unconditional, and quick forgiveness.

Arches was all in all, a good adventure! The heat and capacity of our kids were both needed reminders to live within our God given limits! I'm thankful that we had the opportunity to learn and grow together.
